Email through for more information. LUPE CHOWN (1918-2002): Lupe Chown was born in 1918. She worked among some of the great artists of the California Laguna Beach art scene of the 1960 and 1970s. She often chose natural landscape settings for her work, such as seascapes, sailboat scenes, or in this case, a rare Alpine mountain setting. She worked in oil paintings, but also reproduced her work with prints and etchings, though even these pieces are becoming increasingly scarce. Her paintings can be found in museums and private collections in America and all over the world.
