UP FOR SALE: Antique Victorian silver plate plateau featuring a beveled mirror glass center surrounded by an ornate repousse frame. This type of mirrored tray was commonly used in the mid-to-late 19th century for dressing tables, perfume bottles, or display. The mirror shows light surface scratches consistent with age. The silver plate frame displays areas of wear, plate loss, tarnish, and a soft, even patina that only comes with time.The mirror glass is intact; a small area of discoloration is visible beneath the glass near the edge and does not show from the reverse. All wear is honest and in keeping with an authentic Victorian piece. The underside shows impressed numbers, as photographed, consistent with period production marks.
