Featuring a satin-finished, bracket-style case, it includes a hinged door that opens to an interior compartment designed to discreetly conceal an urn insert. The decorative dial showcases Roman numerals, a glass crystal, and antique brass?finished accents, creating a timeless and elegant appearance. The clock operates with a quartz, battery-powered movement for reliable timekeeping. Finished in Oak Yorkshire on select hardwoods and veneers, this piece offers up to a 200 cubic inch capacity. An internal container is available separately. PLEASE NOTE: This urn does NOT contain the solid brass insert that goes inside the chest. Howard Miller has made these chest urns specifically to fit the dimensions of the box you get from the funeral home/crematorium. That box or bag will fit inside the chest without an insert and so, you do not NEED the insert, but if you wish to purchase the solid brass insert, as well, please email us for prices and availability. Sizing Guide Generally, 1 Pound of person/pet equals approx. 1 cubic inch of remains. For example, a 200-pound person would need a 200 cubic inch urn or larger. However, if you have a certain size urn, most funeral homes can make certain adjustments to accommodate that size urn, within reason.
