35" Classic Caribbean Pirate Cutlass Sword and similar items

The Cutlass was a vicious weapon used most effectively in the close quarters of ship combat. Originally the Cutlass was found to be an effective tool on the ship, quite capable of cleaving ropes. Shortly it was found to just as effective at cleaving through enemies. This was the melee weapon of choice for pirates, privateers and sailors on the high sea. This Cutlass is a reproduction of those used during the high reign of the Pirates. The sword is built sturdy with a tough knuckle bow and leather wrapped handle. [Dimensions] Overall Length: 35" Blade Length: 28" Handle Length:6.75 " [BladeThe blade of the sword is 440 stainless steel with a polished finish, short ricasso and false upper edge. The blade collar is steel with a Skull and Crossed Swords. The sword comes slightly sharpened with an extremely sharp point. [Scabbard] The scabbard of the sword has been constructed from wood with a black high gloss finish. The drag is steel with two crossed pistols. The scabbard throat is steel with a Pirate Skull on each side. [Guard] The guard is a solid design with a one piece aged steel constructed knuckle bow and cup guard. The knuckle bow goes all the way to the pommel of the handle. [Handle] The handle is wooden with an aged black finish and wire wrap. The pommel is a solid steel construction with a capstan rivet.
