He discusses his emmigration from Russia with his family when he was three, learning to read on his own, graduating early from high school and attending college at age 15, serving in the Army and Navy during World War II, his first marriage, years as a teacher of biochemistry at Boston University Medical School, and his writing of The Foundation Trilogy. This covers the first half of an amazing and productive life.
