This vintage Schultz ceramic beer stein features a stunning blue floral design, flared fleur-de-lis thumblifts and silvery hat tip. Made by Webco in West Germany prior to the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, Its intricate detailing and classic style make it a standout piece. This beer stein is, of course, part of the highly collectible Schultz and Dooley collection created for the Utica Club Beer in the late 1950s. The character 'Schultz' represents a German brewmaster and was designed with traditional German beer stein aesthetics featuring blue floral designs on a cream background. These character steins became iconic advertising collectibles after being featured in popular Utica Club television commercials. The Schultz character, with his distinctive nose and metal lid, remains one of the most recognizable beer advertising mascots from the mid-20th century. The stein is in amazing condition for age with only a few minor scratches of the original blue floral design. Final pictures shows where these minor defects are.
