NOTE, THIS ITEM appears TO HAVE BEEN (successfully) REPAIRED AROUND THE OVERLAY RIM WITH AN EPOXY, BEAUTIFUL CLEAR, THICK, AND HEAVY (10 ounce) GLASS INK WELL STANDS 3 1/2" tall X 2 1/4" wide AT THE BASE. 10 ounce WEIGHT DUE TO THE THICK AND HEAVY CLEAR GLASS CONSTRUCTION. THE FLIP DOME LID OPENS TO ALLOW ACCESS TO THE INTERIOR CONTENTS. COMMONLY USED WITH DIP PENS AND QUILLS, THIS ITEM PROVIDES THE USER A RESERVOIR OF INK ON THEIR DESK. FEATURES METAL OVERLAY RIM ON LID, INKWELL TOP AND BASE. THE MANUFCTURER AND AGE OF THIS ITEM ARE UNKNOWN, I WILL GUESS A MINIMUM 40 YEARS OLD OR MORE.
