Up for sale is a complete, matching two-volume set of the Personal Memoirs of U.S. Grant. This is the sought-after First Edition, First Printing (1885/1886) published by Charles L. Webster Co. and famously edited/published by Mark Twain. ?This set features the Deluxe Sheepskin binding with gold-tooled "shoulder strap" emblems on the spines and marbled edges. ?Volume I (1885): ?Exterior: Good condition. Solid binding with original leather labels. Typical age-related scuffing and minor flaking at the spine tips. ?Interior: Very clean. Hinges are firm. Includes frontispiece portrait with intact tissue guard. No writing or heavy foxing noted. ?Volume II (1886): ?Exterior: Fair to Poor condition.
