This beautiful cocktail or day at the races hat was made in the 1950s. The pill box style is a classic that has stood the test of time. This little hat has a large handmade black rose attached to the top. The rose is made from velvet and sheer black fabric of the period The black and white is really so lovely! It measures approximately 7" by 6" and is 3" tall to the top of the flower Condition: This hat is around 70 years old it is not new. The hat is strong and ready to wear. The rose atop of the handmade pillbox could be sewn in place a little more and is held by just a few stitches. The netting and flower attest to the authenticity of this vintage hat, inside the hat there are some markup marks. It really looks gorgeous on and is ready to wear or to display.
