Item description
Up for bid is a antique late 19th, early 20th century Knights Templar Masonic sword scabbard engraved with C.G. Braxmar Company NY on it's hilt.
Charles Braxmar was a jeweler. In 1879 he founded a business making badges for fire, police and fraternal organizations. Incorporated in March 1914, the C. G. Braxmar Company became one of the principle supplier of such emblems throughout the northeast and eventually the country.
Name on sword is Theo Fremd.
He was the 1st mayor of Rye, NY.
