UP FOR SALE: Vintage mid-century shell cameo demi-parure featuring a matching bracelet, ring, earrings, and pendant necklace. Each piece is set with a hand-carved shell cameo depicting a classical female profile, all matched in size, color, and carving style. The cameos are mounted in gold-tone metal settings with decorative coiled wire gallery bezels. This outer wire has natural movement by design and is original, allowing flexibility to help protect the shell. Open backs are consistent with vintage cameo construction. The bracelet features a box clasp with safety chain and a stamped maker?s mark on the clasp. Additional hand-etched marks on the backs of select pieces are bench or assembly marks commonly seen on vintage cameo jewelry and are not metal purity marks. This set was tested and does not test as sterling silver or gold. Likely European (Italian) production, circa 1950s?1960s ? a classic export cameo set from the mid-century era. Condition is very good vintage overall with age-appropriate patina and light surface wear consistent with age. No cracks to the shell cameos noted.
