Fenton Charleton Vase Ruffled Gold Stripe and 50 similar items

This elegant milk glass vase (mould #3001) from Fenton with a striking red and gold geometric pattern sometimes called Charleton Red Geometric is part of the Fenton Charleton Collection. We believe this pattern and piece type to be fairly rare and that it dates circa 1949-1954. Based upon a similar piece that have the initial sticker in place, this vase was likely decorated by the Abels, Wasserberg Co. (AWCO), who was a premier decorating company in the US during the 1940s and 1950s. These pieces were hand decorated in the AWCO NYC studio and were then fired for permanence. The vase stands 6 3/4" high and is 5 1/2" wide at the shoulder. Decorator's mark in red enamel appears on the base. This vase is in excellent preowned condition with no damage (no cracks, chips, major scratches, etc.). There is some wear evidence in that the golden stripe on the ruffle and in a few other place on the vase are worn. Overall, in good condition for it's likely 70 plus year age. Details: ?
