This brass padlock was manufactured by F-S Hardware Company, Inc., an American lock manufacturer that operated during the early to mid-20th century. The marking on the shackle indicates this lock is a V2 model, which model was used by the company during wartime production. We believe this vintage padlock to be fairly rare and desirable due to the historical significance and craftsmanship dating back to wartime production. These padlocks represent the industrial manufacturing capabilities of America during a period when hardware was built for durability and longevity. Condition: This lock was actually used and so there is patina and wear patterns evident. There is some surface scratching but this lock looks aged rather than damaged.
