The author's fourth mystery debuts Sid Halley, former champion jockey, now private detective, and earned an Edgar Award nomination.
Nicely presentable first printing.
Minutely crimped to the upper spine edge, else very nearly fine and square in brown linen boards with gilt embossed titles to the spine; in a very good plus dust jacket with art by Broom Lynne to the front panel, with some minor tan stains to the rear panel's borders; original printed 18s net price still intact to the front inner flap.
NO marks.
