Item description
SLEEP NO MORE
By Sam S. Taylor, pen name of Lehi Zane.
New York: E.P. Dutton Co., Inc., Gilt Edged Mystery, 1949.
First edition, first printing.
"First edition" statement to the copyright page, 1949 printed to the title page and $2.50 to the jacket's flap.
In addition to mystery stories and novels, Taylor wrote numerous radio scripts, and was a screenwriter and the main speech writer for Jack Warner of Warner Bros. films.
Former owner's vintage inked name to the front end-paper, rubbing to the upper and lower spine edges and corner tips, else very good, square, and firm in cream-green linen boards with gilt embossed Guilt Edged insignia of a raised-hands man to the front cover and with reverse raised titles to a gilt panel to the spine; in an about very good dust jacket with a half-inch hole to the slightly faded spine panel, small chips to the upper and lower spine ends and corner tips, short shelf-edge tears and rubs, faint damp-stain to the flap folds, and a one-inch creased tear to the lower front flap fold; original printed $2.50 price still intact to the front inner flap.
After scanning for this entry, the dust jacket will be placed in a clear, removable protective sleeve.
