Antique Victorian lady?s cape by Nouveaute, a rare example of 19th-century mourning fashion in black silk damask with jellyfish-like motif. This exquisite short cape features a high neck with hook-and-eye closure and satin ribbon tie, and is richly adorned with a 2" corded trim beaded in black glass seed and bugle beads. A piece of history that blends craftsmanship with symbolism.
