This version was based on the Magic Kingdom's Jungle Cruise, though it had some minor differences. These include scenes being put in different places and the boats traveling clockwise instead of counter-clockwise. The station and surrounding area was themed to a more upscale African city, as opposed to an isolated jungle outpost. This version shared a station building with the park's steam train ride, Western River Railroad. The spiels in Tokyo Disneyland were delivered in Japanese only and skippers bowed to the audience after each joke. This incarnation of Jungle Cruise was replaced by Jungle Cruise: Wildlife Expeditions.
