Item description
Alcalde
is a small community that lies along the Rio Grande River north of
Espanola, NM. Alcalde is known for its farms and for the agricultural
experiment station there. It is also where Seeds of Change was
originally located. This chile has been grown by one of the local families forever. It is somewhat larger and smoother than some of the other
traditional chiles. The flavor is full, but milder. Production is
excellent on big, healthy plants. A packet contains at least 75 seeds
