CATCH AS CATCH CAN
By Frances and Richard Lockridge.
New York: J.B. Lippincott Company, Main Line Mysteries, (1958).
First edition, first printing.
"First edition" statement to the copyright page, $2.95 to the jacket's flap.
A stand-alone mystery featuring a male--DA Geoffrey Bowen, and female--Linda Parks, as a couple, detecting and running into continual danger, and merciless killers, in Greenwich Village, New York City, and Manhattan.
A presentable vintage collectible.
Lower corner tips lightly bumped, slightly rubbed to the upper and lower spine edges, else tight, square and near fine in polished gray textured boards with purple Main Line Mysteries skull-train insignia to the front cover and with purple titles to the spine, a stamped 3 to the nicely mauve-colored upper page edges, deckle page fore-edges; in a very good slightly rubbed dust jacket with art by Fred Hausman, with creases and a few very short tears to the upper shelf edges, fading to the spine panel, a half-inch snagged tear and a one inch tear to the lower front panel's edge, rubs and tiny nicks to the upper and lower spine edges; original printed $2.95 price and bookstore sticker to the front inner flap.
The jacket will be placed in a clear, removable protective sleeve, after scanning for this entry.
