Classic Red Wing Union Stoneware 5-gallon crock with wire/wood bail handles and its stoneware ?daisy? button lid. Front shows the scroll ?5,? reddish wing, and blue oval ?RED WING UNION STONEWARE CO. RED WING, MINN.? stamp. Reverse has the ?PATENTED DEC. 21, 1915? mark by the lug.

Blue oval maker?s stamp: approx. 2? wide.
?Patented Dec. 21, 1915? back stamp present and legible.

Lid fits a 5/6-gallon opening; embossed ?5 6? petals pattern.
Condition
Displays well with honest wear from use.
Glaze pops/pinholes and kiln specks throughout, as typical.
A thin interior glaze line is visible (see close-ups); presents as stable.
Scuffing/soiling at lower body and foot; expected base wear.
One bail shows oxidation; wood handles have original black paint with wear.
One bail has a missing nut.
Lid shows rim roughness and use marks but sits properly.
