Marked with the ?M-in-wreath? backstamp, this piece was produced in Japan between 1911 and 1921, before the U.S. required country of origin labeling to say "Japan" instead of "Nippon." This oval serving platter features a clean white body with a richly detailed cobalt blue and gold filigree border in a repeating geometric fan pattern.
