Item description
SISTERSONG
by Lucy Holland.
(London): Macmillan, In Association With Goldsboro Books, 2021.
First edition, first printing; Limited Deluxe Signed issue.
"First published 2021 by Macmillan" statement and first
printing number code sequence 1 through 9 to the copyright page.
Limited to 1,500 numbered copies, SIGNED by the three-time BFA Award nominated author to a special limitation page. This is number 80.
Drawn from the old British folk ballad 'The Two Sisters', this historical fantasy features King Cador's three very different daughters, whose lives change as Saxons invade, a meddler magician comes along with ash in the sky, a warrior comes with secrets, and they learn of the lands' and their own, powers.
Nominated for the BFA and Locus Awards
Fine, square, very tight and probably unread in blue linen boards with gilt embossed titles to the spine, all page edges in rich blue with the fore-edges showing lovely color art swirls continued from the jacket art, blue-silk sewn-in ribbon marker, gold headband and tail-band; in a fine dust jacket with striking three sister art by Mel Four that is generously enhanced with gold foil.
