Item description
Authentic bronze World War I Victory Medal honors the Allied Triumph, established by an Act of Congress 1919 and promulgated by War Department General Order 48 (rescinded by General Order 104, 1920). Issued to service members for qualifying duty. Solid cast bronze retaining it's original patina. A militaria treasure.
Eligible service issuance:
April 1917-November 11, 1918 (general)
June 1, 1918 to July 1, 1919 (AEF North Russia)
November 23, 1918 to April 1, 1920 (AEF Siberia)

?Size: 1.25 inch diameter, original brass ring for ribbon 9.5mm, no ribbon

?Style/Features: Winged Victory (Nike) striding with sword palm branch symbolizing global peach. Reverse "THE GREAT WAR FOR CIVILIZATION" encircling fasces flanked by 14 Allied shields (USA, Great Britian, France, Italy etc)
