SPANISH AMERICAN WAR, U.S. ARMY, M1894 MILLS ORNDORFF WOVEN .38 CARTRIDGE BELT Original period manufacture. Light tan colored woven belt with single loops for forty-five .38 caliber pistol rounds. The belt is 2 3/8" wide. This Mills woven belt has distinctive upper and lower edges. The upper measures OE inch from the top of the cartridge loops; with the lower has a wider skirt, measuring oe inch below the loops, to protect the uniform form being damaged by the soft lead bullets. This version does not have grommets for attaching equipment. Loops are not frayed. Displays prior use. Well marked: ?PAT.
