The opal weighs 2.10 carats and is an elongated oval cabochon measuring about 9.3mm x 6.3mm. The miner stated that the stone was mined at Lightning Ridge. The opal has a dark navy blue to grey body color with primarily blue-green play of color. The ring fits a size 6.75 finger and weighs 1.83 dwt. It is an antique circa about 1900 with a new head and center stone. Stunning!
