THE BLIND BARBER
By John Dickson Carr.
New York: Harper Brothers Publishers, 1934.
First edition, first printing.
"First edition" statement and date code I-I to the copyright page, 1934 date printed to the title page.
The master of complex clue-filled plots, and locked room mysteries, shows a wonderful sense of comedy and humor in several of his characters in this, his ninth novel, and the fourth to feature Dr. Gideon Fell detecting, this time on an ocean liner, and with double edged clues, and a surprise ending.
Former owner's vintage inked name to the front end-paper, front and rear end-papers age-toned as usual, rub-wear to the upper and lower spine edges and corner tips, smoke-gray surface stain spots to the covers, else about very good and sound in black linen, with bright blood-orange titles to the front cover and to the spine; lacking a dust jacket.
