Contact life: A minimum of 5000 cycles at current and Voltage Ratings The MSD is essentially a heavy duty rotary switch that is rated at 6 amps at 250 Vac, designed to handle higher currents than are possible with normal types of blade clip wafer switches. It is eminently suitable for use in a wide variety of electronic and household equipment. Developed by NSF Technical Services to incorporate modern materials and techniques that give the switch a very long life at its full current rating. 1 Post 2 to 12 ways 2 Post 2 to 6 ways 3 Post 2 to 4 ways 4 Post 2 or 3 ways Maximum Switching by Wafer Index Mechanism: The 'U' type mechanism is used when one or two wafers are required, 'HD' for switches with two or three. For more than three wafers, consult our Technical Service. Low friction molded cam and followers in the "U" type assembly ensure a smooth, positive indexing action. Balanced compression springs provide consistent and easily reproducible torque values ??that can be approximated as: Light: No greater than 0.18 Nm (25 oz Ins) Medium: Greater than 0.14 Nm (20 oz Ins) but less than 0.32 Nm (45 oz Ins).
