The Portland Ornament Series Part of the beloved Portland Ornament collection, this 1998 edition features The Old Church, one of Portland?s most iconic historic landmarks. Designed by the late Betty Gimarelli, each ornament in this series was produced in limited quantities and beautifully detailed. This particular ornament is #1028 of 15,000 and includes the original red collector box and numbered Certificate of Authenticity. COA is intact and box shows only light shelf wear. These ornaments are no longer in production and continue to be highly collectible among Northwest history and holiday decor enthusiasts. Designed and produced by Betty Gimarelli since 1989 In December 2013, Betty passed away following a brief and unexpected diagnosis of terminal cancer. Her husband, Jim, also recently diagnosed at the time with a terminal illness, passed away only hours before. These ornaments are no longer produced and are very collectible.
