UP FOR SALE: 2007 The Historic Crown of Rosaria ? Portland Ornament Series This 2007 ornament celebrates the Crown of Rosaria, an iconic symbol of Portland?s long-running Rose Festival. Designed by Betty Gimarelli as part of the Portland Ornament collection, this edition is officially marked on the reverse as the Official Ornament of the Rose Festival. It includes the original red presentation box, Certificate of Authenticity, and is numbered 8740 of 20,000 produced. Designed and produced by Betty Gimarelli since 1989 In December 2013, Betty passed away following a brief and unexpected diagnosis of terminal cancer. Her husband, Jim, also recently diagnosed at the time with a terminal illness, passed away only hours before. These ornaments are no longer produced and are very collectible.
