Vintage Snow Babies Figurine Lot of Seven
Snow babies became popular due to Admiral Peary's trip to the North Pole in 1909 and his daughter was the first white baby born that far north earning her the nickname Snow Baby. The most sought after versions are from Germany with their detailed faces. In the 1920's Japan also started producing them. Based on the faces and the type of painting done on them, I'm guessing these may be from Japan but not sure.
Some are marked BB on the bottom, others are blank.
Approximate size: 1" to 2" Tall
Condition: Pre-owned some sloughing off of porcelain crumble in spots. See photos.
