Item description
THE TRACES OF BRILLHART:
A Novel of Suspense, Detection, and A Curious Immortality.
by Herbert Brean.
New York: Harper Brothers, Publishers, (1960).
First edition, first printing.
"First edition" statement to the copyright page.
With a rave blurb from Rex Stout, this well-plotted mystery features William (Deac) Deacon, crime reporter and magazine staff-writer looking into the possible impersonation of a possible dead man, who is given good press in Broadway musical circles.
Blue spine titles flecked-off, a 1961 NAACP Peace seal attached to the upper corner of the half-title page, else very good in light-blue linen over polished dark-blue linen boards; in a price-clipped, lightly rubbed very good dust jacket with small nicks and tiny tears to the upper and lower spine edges, some age-toning to the spine panel; original printed 0560 date code still intact to the front inner flap.
