Little Murmaid Figurine # 4431
Royal Copenhagen Figurines - Denmark
The Royal Copenhagen sculpture numbered 4431 is known as "Little Mermaid" and is part of the Fantasy Legends series
The figurine is inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale, The Little Mermaid. It depicts a serene mermaid sitting on a rock
Designer - Edvard Eriksen - the back of the figurine is signed by the sculptor
Piece is glazed, hand-painted porcelain, soft underglaze colors and has the initials of the artist who hand-painted the decorative elements on the piece
Fairly large at Approx. 8 3/4" tall
Bing Grondahl was a Danish porcelain manufacturer established in 1853 - it merged with it's main competitor Royal Copenhagen in 1987
