This vintage postcard features a detailed lithograph of a Grenadier from the 25th (Edinburgh) Regiment, later known as the King's Own Scottish Borderers. The artwork is based on a watercolor drawn at Minorca circa 1773, showcasing the soldier in traditional red uniform with distinctive white and gold detailing, and a tall bearskin hat. In the background, the historic fortifications of Minorca and marching troops add depth and historical context to this collectible piece.
Printed in Great Britain by Pillans Wilson Ltd, Edinburgh, this postcard is an original lithograph with chrome finish, measuring the continental standard size of 6 x 4 inches. The image captures a significant period of British military history, reflecting the regiment's presence during the 18th century. The back of the postcard indicates its issuance by the Scottish United Services Museum, with Crown Copyright dated 1970.
