Item description
This exquisite antique Meissen porcelain figurine, titled ?The Elements ? Fire?, represents one of the four classical elements and was originally modeled by Johann Joachim Kandler in 1770. The allegorical cherub is seated beside a small tiled stove (kachelofen), attending to a brazier with kettle?symbolizing the elemental force of fire.
This particular example is an early production bearing the underglaze blue crossed swords mark of Meissen on the underside. It is cataloged as Model C97 and crafted with exceptional detail, including ornate base scrollwork, floral accents, and delicate hand-painting.
