Adorable Vintage Signed Caro Nan Woven wooden Basket Purse with an "Elegance" theme, and the name Minna Hart, a store in Illinois. Colorful storefronts including the Minna Hart store. Yellow Floral Quilted Interior. Very good condition, clean.but I think may be missing the penny, if it was there, on the top.

Carolyn McDaniel and Nancy Steele, the duo behind Caro Nan, built a company that created these picnic-style baskets turned into purses. Though located in Jacksonville, Mississippi, they designed bags for customers nationwide, including this one for Winnetkans. The local shops illustrated on the side include Minna Hart, which commissioned and sold these trendy purses.
The trademark penny on the purse?s lid securely dates the piece to 1978.LOVE RETRO!
