FANTASTIC FIND FROM AN ESTATE SALE!
Large 18s double hunter Elgin "GIANT" case with WORKING Elgin 7j movement. Full matching numbers on all three covers and the paper insert! ALL ORIGINAL. FULL ETCHING THROUGHOUT! From what I found online the case should be either 18k or 14k gold filled. See pictures.
MOVEMENT SIGNED: Elgin Natl Watch Co., and Elgin Ill. For additional markings see pictures.
CASE SIGNED: Elgin Giant and 24226. Fully matching numbers on all 3 covers as well as the paper insert!
CASE CONDITION: Light signs of age such as surface wear here and there. The glass crystal is in good shape with no cracks or chips or scuffs. All covers snap closed as they should. No dings or dents.
MOVEMENT CONDITION: Running as seen in video. Time can be changed once the lever is pulled. Winds as it should. It has been running very strong. Of course it may need services/oiled.
I WILL BE LISTING SEVERAL POCKET WATCHES, SOME GOLD AND SOME SILVER. PLEASE SEE MY OTHER LISTINGS.
It will be protected well and insured.
