About The Record:
Look at Yourself, by Uriah Heep, is the band's third studio album, showcasing their signature blend of hard rock, progressive rock, and early heavy metal influences. Recorded at Lansdowne Studios in London, it marked a pivotal moment in the band's career, solidifying their sound with Ken Hensley's prominent organ work and Mick Box's dynamic guitar riffs. The title track, Look at Yourself, became a notable hit single, particularly in Germany, where it helped establish the band's international presence. The album's experimental edge, including the use of a 26-piece orchestra on July Morning, highlighted their ambition and versatility, making it a historically significant release in the development of progressive and heavy rock genres. Other standout tracks like Tears in My Eyes and What Should Be Done further demonstrated the band's ability to balance raw energy with melodic sophistication, though they did not achieve the same single success as the title track.
