Vintage 1950s Melissa Made in England brass and similar items

Vintage 1950s Melissa enamel roses powder compact This is a lovely Melissa compact with an enamelled roses decoration on the lid. It's in a very good vintage condition. There's a tiny bit of enamel loss on the lid which you can see near to the hinge. The hinge and clasp both work as they should and the mirror inside is in good condition. It flicks open with a good mechanism. The underneath has a diamond shaped engine turned decoration. However, there is some tarnishing and a shallow dent on the underneath due to its age. Deep foundation pan. Can be used for pressed or loose powder. You will find this item to be the perfect addition to any vintage cosmetic collection. Compact measures 2 1/2" by 2 5/8" - niegther original puff nor powder inside. I personally select our items for their individuality and excellent condition however, all the items in my shop are vintage or pre-owned and therefore they may have some signs of use.
