Gate-fold cover has a few creases near edges; light-scuffing and surface impressions (front/back/inner-gate). Inner-sleeve is original (generic white). Spine is easy-to-read with mild wear along a small developing split. Minor shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and a couple divots. 1979 pressing with blue and black label. (Not a cut-out.) Guitarist Barry Barnes and drummer Gary Allen are replaced by Tom Crain and Don Murray, respectively, and the result is a band that sounds fuller and more adventurous than before, capable of following all the paths that the country and blues-rock fusion on Fire on the Mountain suggested. As such, Nightrider focuses much more on the playing as opposed to the songs -- which is kind of ironic, considering that this brought Daniels his first big hit in Texas, which made it to No. 36 on US Country charts.
