The Sopranos "is a fictional television series about the Italian Mafia in northern New Jersey, produced by David Chase. The first season premiered on HBO in North America on January 10, 1999. Since its premiere, this film collection has been very successful, even becoming a cultural phenomenon.
This play has a large audience, and its groundbreaking realistic lens shows the mafia life, American families, the Italian American community, the world dominated by violence and the gray area of morality, winning many acclaims from the audience and film critics. Like many other HBO produced shows such as "Six Foot Storm" and "Sex and the City," "The Sopranos" is also primarily aimed at adult viewers due to its scenes featuring bloody violence, frontal nudity, drugs, and profane language.
The Sopranos "stars James Gandolfini, Lorraine Bracco, Edie Falco, and Michael Imperioli. The main plot revolves around the various conflicts and contradictions between Tony Shapiro (played by Gandolfini)'s family and the criminal organization he leads.
