THE WORLD OF TOM FRAZER
By Francis [Henry] Durbridge.
New York: Dodd, Mead Company, (1962).
First U.S. edition, first printing; Review copy with publisher's printed and typed-in slip, laid in.
A selection in the publisher's superior Red Badge Detective mystery series.
The first entry of three in the Tim Frazer mystery novel series that was adapted to an 18 episode television series starring Jack Hedley.
Durbridge wrote numerous mystery novels, and radio and TV scripts, his most famously created character was the gentleman detective Paul Temple.
Two small square amber shadows left from former tape, where the review slip had been taped to the front end-paper, a 2" by 1" paper residue strip to the upper rear end-paper, upper and lower spine edges and corner tips slightly rubbed, else very good and firm in polished blue linen boards with yellow embossed Red Badge Detective insignia to the front cover and with yellow embossed titles and insignia to the spine, sewn binding; in an about very good rubbed and price-clipped dust jacket with a white round sticker and clear tape to the lower spine and adjacent area, a tear to the lower front flap fold, and chips and rubs to the upper spine end.
The jacket will be placed in a quality Brodart brand, clear, removable protective sleeve, after photographing for this entry.
