This exquisite French-style Louis XVI side table features ornate floral marquetry across all three tiers, each with elegant inlaid detailing and an oval ebony-toned cartouche surrounded by delicate scrollwork. The warm walnut finish pairs beautifully with the ebonized legs, which curve gracefully in a cabriole style and are adorned with gilded bronze ormolu mounts. The top tier includes a small central drawer and a hinged lift-top compartment (key no longer present). While the original mirror has been replaced with a fabric panel?professionally done and very clean - a mirror could be reinstalled in the space. Please note: the lid has a slight warp and one of the hinge screws is close to stripping and no longer holds well (pictured). A conservator or skilled woodworker could easily secure the issue with minimal intervention. In otherwise fantastic condition for its age, this piece remains solid and display-worthy, with only minor vintage wear. It stands approximately 30 inches tall, with the top surface measuring 16.5" x 12".
