Marklin Märklin H0 18045 Replica of the first Swiss Crocodile (Class BR Ce 6/8) originally developed in the 1930s but never commercially released. Green paint scheme. One-time limited series released in 2024. Reproduction of the very first sample of an H0 Gauge Crocodile made from die-cast zinc. mfx digital decoder included so it can run on modern layouts. Comes in retro-style large box, same design used in the 1950s. Extra pickup shoe included (see photos) This is a reproduction of the first H0 Gauge Crocodile prototype from 1936. The frame and body are constructed of die-cast zinc. Both trucks are powered with jackshafts and side rods. The locomotive has a factory-installed mfx decoder, so that it can be used on present day layouts. Sufficient clearance must be ensured due to the reproduction of this historic sample. The headlights change over with the direction of travel and will work in analog operation. There are sprung pantographs without an electrical function. Length over the buffers 21 cm / 8-1/4". An H0 model of the Crocodile was not presented until 1947 as item number CCS 800 – later 3015. Never on tracks - just taken out of the box for photos. Free shipping to the US.
