Catalog Number: ML-6174 Condition Details: TIMING STRIP on front; white radio station promo label. Vinyl plays with occasional light-crackles (play-graded). Cover looks good, a few creases near edges; light scuffing, some surface abrasion and impressions (front/back); slight discoloration with darker spots on back; small pieces of tape on spine and bottom edge. Inner-sleeve is original (generic white); one seam partially split. Address label inside jacket. Spine is mostly readable with wear. Shelf-wear and splits along top/bottom-edge; some corner wear. Opening is crisp with signs of use and divots. (Not a cut-out.) One of Beethoven's most celebrated works, the Eroica symphony is a large-scale composition that marked the beginning of the composer's innovative "middle period". Leonard Bernstein's performance of Eroica is the version performed on this album along with the New York Philharmonic. Bernstein said the first two movements are "perhaps the greatest two movements in all symphonic music", in the recording Eroica (1953) and book The Infinite Variety of Music (1966).
