Item description
MR. RIGHT IS DEAD
By Rona Jaffe.
New York: Simon and Schuster, (1965).
First edition, first printing.
"First printing" statement to the copyright page, $4.50 to the jacket's flap.
SIGNED to the title page with the salutation "Best Wishes" by the late author of the film adapted book THE BEST OF EVERYTHING starring Joan Crawford, and the film adapted book MAZES AND MONSTERS starring Tom Hanks.
Jaffe wrote an influential column for Cosmopolitan with a Sex and the Single Girl slant in the late 1960s.
This highly acclaimed collection comprises a short novel featuring Miss Melba Toast exploring a Playgirl lifestyle, and five other 1960s women identity stories.
A few very mild light-tan stains to the front end-paper, and one faintly to the last few pages at the fore-edges, else square, tight and near fine in bright purple linen with gilt embossed titles and decorations to the spine; in a near fine dust jacket with art by John Alcorn, with some tiny shelf-edge tears and with minuscule nicks and tiny tears to the upper and lower spine edges.
NO remainder mark.
