Estee Lauder is a family company founded in 1946 in New York City by Joseph Lauder and his wife Estée. The belief that every woman can be beautiful was their inspiration for creating skincare products, which were offered initially door-to-door. Two years later, the company opened its first department store counter. Among the products it manufactures are also makeup and fragrances. The first perfume was launched in 1953 and over the years was followed by series of successful fragrances. Nowadays the company still remains in family hands, managed by sons, grandsons and granddaughters.
