Item description
DARK CARNIVAL
(Replication Dust Jacket for 1st US Edition-Jacket Only; No Book)
Ray Bradbury
(Published by Phantom Bookshop, 2018)
As New. A restored facsimile dust jacket for the 1946 first hardback edition of DARK CARNIVAL for the first US edition book published by Arkham House. The jacket is a facsimile of the original edition. The jacket is much sharper than shown.
The jacket was restored by artist John Anthony Miller and archival ink and special paper were used. Jacket comes trimmed and enclosed in a Mylar jacket protector, ready to put on the book. Please see the photograph. As in all our facsimile dust jackets, the verso of the jacket has an affixed label, stating such, signed by the artist-restorer John Anthony Miller."Facsimile Dust Jacket" and my "JAM" monogram and "John Anthony Miller Studio" will be tastefully printed on the bottom of the read jacket flap as shown. A signed label stating that this jacket is a facsimile edition will be attached to the verso of the jacket or I will sign my name in number two pencil on the verso upper edge. All this will prevent the jacket from being sold as an original with a real book.
