I Left This Razor Especially for the Handy Ladies and Gentlemen Who Really Want to Make This Razor Their Own. The razor has been beautifully Replated in Bright Nickel, I must say it came out beautifully. The twist TTO (twist to open) action to open the butterfly doors is crisp as well as the turning of the Unnumbered collar to adjust the shave as each number clicks. The blade plate raises and lowers slightly as it should when you adjust the shave. The blade gap of this razor is even along both sides at every adjustment. Everything mechanical concerning this razor is 100%! This razor is Not brand new, it has been Replated and Refurbished, there is absolutely No Vintage Ware, either way it's still a beautiful Gillette Fat Boy Razor and is absolutely shave ready! Before or after you apply whatever type of accents you want! :-) :-) The black on the numbers and collar is not there. The razor has been disassembled, cleaned, re-plated and reassembled, it has had a completely thorough cleaning, it has been sanitized and is ready to use. If I were to mail this razor lubricated I can just imagine what's going to happen to the inside of the plastic bag. Our process: The original razor is disassembled, cleaned and disinfected. Then any repairs or adjustments are made. Next, the razor is polished, outer doors, outer cap, end caps, and guard edge are mirror polished, followed by a hand polish. We then plate the razor with Nickel Plating. White Platinum or 24K Gold is plated over the Nickel for those razors plated with precious metals. Finally, the razor is reassembled and adjusted. Blade gap is checked with a blade in, between the blade and guard. Fatboy numbers are repainted and the stripe is installed (USA Made Auto Pinstriping). No warranty is implied for the paint or pinstriping. The Plating comes with a 6 month warranty to not crack, chip, wear off, flake or discolor.
