Comes with Needle Cover as seen in Pictures About the Tonearm: Nightingale Phono Cartridge System The Nightingale System is a collaboration between Graham Engineering in the U.S. and Immutable Music in Japan. The goal has been to provide the finest phono playback system available. We accomplished this by addressing the variables common in typical phono cartridge/tonearm/turntable systems. By unifying the cartridge body into a special armwand, we could control the interface, both mechanical and electrical, and optimize the generator to give maximum performance for this one application. The armwand is based on the renown Graham SW-3 Ceramic, which combines constrained-layer construction consisting of an inner stainless tube which is an electrical shield for the twisted-pair signal wires inside. This inner assembly is isolated from the outer ceramic tube by a proprietary damping material. The special headshell and cartridge body are unified for absolute rigidity and are also electrically shielded throughout. There is no other tonearm/cartridge combination which can feature these exclusive and important design elements. Of course, the stylus tip is aligned precisely to the accepted Seagrave geometric equations for absolutely precise tracking over the LP surface. The output of the cartridge by itself is 0.25mv (5 cm/sec., 1khz) and has a separation of better than 25 db across the band from 200hz-10khz. Tracking force is 1.8 grams. While this output is sufficient for high-gain phono preamplifiers having a gain of at least 70db, the full dynamic and high-resolution potential of the Nightingale will be reached most universally if the accessory T-40 transformer system is incorporated. This is a special, matched pair of in-line transformers incorporated into a direct output cable. The quality of the T-40 is as high as the Model 2.0 arms and the Nightingale itself, utterly transparent in its use, incorporating silver wire throughout, and terminated with premium WBT phono RCA connectors. The 1-40 provides the optimum impedance matching and transfer characteristics to give the low-impedance cartridge the loading it requires to reveal all the subtleties and nuances of the signal; yet, at the same time, having a sufficient signal level of over 1.25mv to provide a strong signal for even the most inefficient tube preamplifiers. ***Will be shipped with UPS Signature Confirmation*** If you would like Local Pickup, Please let me know!!!
