Description:
This offer includes a complete set for repairing the display of your BMW E30 on-board computer "BC1". The "small" on-board computer was also used in other models from the time, the display also fits here.
After many years of use and frequent temperature fluctuations, the sealing of the LCD elements fails at some point and the display "runs out". Although the function of the overall component is still fully available, the numbers and symbols can no longer be read completely. The aging of the associated lead contact rubbers is also a frequent reason for the incomplete legibility of the displays. Even if the liquid crystal display (short: LCD) is still fully intact. As a "do it yourself" solution, you can also repair the display yourself as a hobbyist with the components offered here as well as our support and illustrated instructions. No complex assembly work and no soldering work are required for repairs.
Because aging of the displays is a general problem, we generally advise against buying used "still intact" components. Because here too it is only a matter of time before the display stops working. Replacing your own display is therefore always the cheaper way in the long term.
